What's Your Experience With Similar Sounding Names in a Family?

I like both Leah and Olivia. My husband thinks they sound too similar and will get confusing when calling them. What is you experience with this type of situation? Thanks.

I don't think that Leah and Olivia sound too similar at all.

My mother's family all had similar sounding names and it didn't get confusing (it wasn't really intentional, nicknames arose etc).

I work in a doctors office and we have 2 families in particular that have named all their children alike. It's very confusing for the doctor and staff. It's also frustrating to the kids to be called their brothers names.

These aren't their real names but just examples.
-Caden, Cody, Cameron, Conner, Coriander, Camilla, Christy, Candy, Cole, Casper

We have a Janis and James (Jan and Jim for short) and Jim - used to open Jan's Christmas presents by mistake when he was small because he was so excited he misread the name tags. Other than that- no confusion really. Leah and Olivia both begin with very different sounds- so they don't sound all that similar.

I have two daugters And their name are Alexia And Ariel. We are expecting another baby girl in December and we plan to name her Allison. Oh and I sould also tell you my name is Amber. Our names are not very similar but all "A" names and I like it. Some people think its confusing but its not to us.

You mean like these first and middle family names:

Connor McKnight
Excelsior Knight
Jayden Star - boy
Marshal Lonestar
Calindor Axe
Kamdor Ninjor
Miratrix Aurora
Kendrix Ofelia

It doesn't bother us.

Keeping tradition is cool.but you could always just stick them in the middle -The honor would still be there-you could go with Leah Danielle-and-Hope Olivia. They do sound alike together.Any mix would work.

My sister name is destiny and mine is angel everyone sometimes get mixed how about

evelyn and Joelle or Courtney and Merylin

My name is Roxanna, and my twin's name is Savanna & my older sister's name is Brianna.

It's torture.

I don't think that they sound too similar at all.

Boring tradition
