What is with all of these absolutely terrible names?

I have seen some awful names today & I'm wondering if all of you pregnant chicks are dropping acid with your kids? You do know it's bad for the baby right?

Its just an opinion. They might sound bad to you.. but Not to them! I am sure people would say the same about some of the names you like.. it doesn't mean its true,.. just an opinion!!

Hahahahahahahahaha.

It's likely that their parents dropped acid when pregnant with them.

Name preferences and opinions of different people differ. =)
That's life.

what people name their children is their choice not yours, but you are entitled to your own opinion, you just don't have to slander them for trying to be good parents. being original is a good thing these days. it could also be pregnancy insanity, for when i was pregnant i wanted to name my daughter esmerelda. i ended up naming her isabella, but just recently realized i had some goofy names in my head. just let them wonder.

I'm going to forget that you mentioned anything about mothers dropping acid here because I'd like to think that any responsible pregnant woman would never do that and fathers also have a say in baby names as well. as for terrible names...I've seen my share. unique names arent a problem and people can name their kids whatever they want. what bothers me is people who change the spelling of a name thinking it makes it unique. I saw Aleksus yesterday...what is that? the name is still pronounced Alexis so really its not unique at all...just looks like the parents cant spell and complicates things for the kids when they get older, tell someone their name is Alexis and have to spell it out for them becuase nobody is going to spell it that way. I think thats a bit much.

People have different opinions too, you know!

I halfway agree. I've seen some truly ridiculous names lately, but to be perfectly honest, I think the choice lies with the parents, and who knows, there's probably someone out there who thinks it's beautiful, other than their parents, obviously. Also, what's with people spelling common names weirdly? (Elannah vs Alana?)

If you had given some examples of these 'horrible' names it would have helped. People give their children strange names for different reasons such as tradition.

Name preferences are like butt holes, everyone has one, but they're all just a little bit different.
You don't have to like theirs and they don't have to like yours.

Everyone has an opinion. Something that sounds awful to you is beautiful to another...everyone is different!

I agree with you 100%. They dont spend their whole life correcting people on the spelling and pronounciation.

I know!! Like Nevaeh (heaven spelled backwards) That is just pitiful.

haha i agree. actually in the past few years i've seen the weirdest, randomest names ever. some sound like mixes of different names and others are just...terrible. in 100 years from now i think classic names will be gooone

They stupidly want to be different without ever considering the consequences the child has to bear for a lifetime.
